Cool, Inexpensive Watches

by J.L

There’s a perception now that watches are antiquated and unnecessary. After all, we’re carrying around tiny flat computers that slip into our pockets and purses, that not only tell the time, but make phone calls, take pictures, connect us to family and friends, give us directions, play music and movies… and the list goes on. With that kind of power, why would anyone need a watch?

There’s plenty of reasons to own a watch — to own several, in fact. Watches are a great accessory that can say a lot about your style and your fashion sense — even on days when you’re wearing your favorite comfy shirt and an old pair of jeans. Depending on the style of watch you’re wearing you can reveal a sense of sophistication, an appreciation for a particular design aesthetic or, if you’re all about being a “baller,” you can show just how much money you’re willing to spend on something as seemingly insignificant as a loose fitting, platinum wrist watch.

Also, as convenient as your mobile phone is, it’s still quicker to give your arm a twist and glance down at your watch, rather than to dig through your purse or reach into your pocket, press a home button and get the time. So get a watch. They’re still relevant and they look good!
