I’ve been in bed for days with a terrible cold. So I have not been able to do much of anything, however I managed to take photographs of one of my favorite Victorian naturalist books: Earth Sea and Sky.
It has some of the most beautiful etchings of natural life.
My copy is pretty beat up and was a salesman edition, which I collect, actually. I love how they show all the cover options in the salesman copies.
The current trend of tearing apart old books to sell just the etchings breaks my heart a little every time I see it, so I keep collecting books and saving their poor helpless lives.
They only want to share knowledge, why are people so violent with them?
Anyhow, don’t murder vintage books please.
